Punjab BJP promises 63% DA for state employees if voted to power

Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon has promised 63% dearness allowance for state employees, matching central staff, and clearance of pending arrears if the party wins the 2027 Assembly polls. He accused the AAP government of ignoring nearly eight lakh protesting employees. The High Court recently fined the state ₹1 lakh over DA arrears and summoned its Chief Secretary.
