CBSE sets 5 compulsory subjects, skill paper safety net for 2028 Class 10 exams

CBSE has clarified that students sitting Class 10 boards in 2028, now in Class 9, will take five compulsory subjects plus an optional skill paper that can help them pass even if they fail maths, science or social science. CT and AI modules and the interdisciplinary area will not be part of the scheme. The current Class 10 batch is unaffected.
