Himachal to get 320 more PG medical seats with ₹415 crore central aid

Himachal Pradesh will add 320 postgraduate medical seats, backed by a ₹415 crore allocation from the Centre, Governor Kavinder Gupta said on Friday. Speaking at an ophthalmology conference in Palampur in Kangra district, he said the expansion would strengthen medical education and improve the availability of specialist doctors in the state, and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative.
