Ofcom lists ways social media firms can check users are over 16

UK regulator Ofcom has recommended photo ID matching, banking-based checks, digital ID and facial age estimation as highly effective ways to verify that social media users are at least 16. The UK ban, due in March, will bar younger users from ten major platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. Many adults may also need to prove their age.
