Sanmar's Vijay Sankar named FICCI president for its centenary year

Vijay Sankar, Chairman of The Sanmar Group, has been named President-Elect of FICCI for 2026-27, the chamber's centenary year. He will succeed Anant Goenka after the annual general meeting in New Delhi on November 18-19. He becomes the first Tamil Nadu-based industrialist to lead FICCI since AC Muthiah in 2002-03. FICCI was founded in 1927.
