CGHS cover extended to widowed, divorced daughters after parents' death

Widowed and divorced daughters who return to live with their parents can now be added to the family's CGHS card even after the original central government employee or pensioner dies. Earlier, dependants could not be added once the spouse began drawing family pension. The benefit is not automatic: authorities will verify marital status, income and dependency before approval.
