New dinosaur species named from fossils found at Surrey brickworks

More than 25 years after its discovery, a new dinosaur species and genus, Paludohadros proudlovii, has been named from fossils held by the Natural History Museum in London. The remains were found in 2001 at Wienerberger's Ewhurst brick and roof tile works in Surrey. The animal was an iguanodontian, a group known for thumb spikes, and lived in England's wetlands 125 million years ago.
