Amit Shah promises Uniform Civil Code in UP if BJP retains power

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the BJP will implement a Uniform Civil Code in Uttar Pradesh if it returns to power in next year's Assembly elections. He made the promise at the UP BJP state executive meeting. State BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary framed the polls as a fight between development and destruction, and nationalism and casteism.
