Hyundai trademarks 'Ioniq P' name, likely for its small EV for India

Hyundai India has trademarked the name Ioniq P, which could badge its upcoming mass-market electric SUV, codenamed HE1i. During its Q3 earnings call, the company said the Ioniq P will follow the recently launched Bayon, though officials did not directly link the name to the new EV. Positioned against the Tata Punch EV, it is expected around 2027.
