Kavach 4.0 now covers 785 route km on North Central Railway

North Central Railway has commissioned Kavach 4.0, India's indigenous automatic train protection system, on the 69.5-km Karchana-Mirzapur stretch of the Delhi-Howrah corridor, taking its Kavach coverage to 785 route km. The system automatically applies brakes to prevent signal violations, head-on and rear-end collisions, and controls overspeeding, even in low visibility. It meets SIL-4, the highest safety standard.
