CATL moves to 20 Ah solid-state EV battery cells
CATL, which held 39.9% of the global EV battery market in the first half of 2026, says its sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries have entered 20 Ah trial production. The battery giant plans small-scale production in 2027 and mass production around 2030. It is targeting energy density of up to 500 Wh/kg as it develops safer, cheaper chemistries.
