Pope Leo to go ahead with South America tour after lung surgery

The Vatican has confirmed Pope Leo will travel to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru from November 6 to 17 as planned, after surgery on October 13 to remove a tumour from his right lung. The 71-year-old will visit 10 cities, including Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Lima and Chiclayo, where he once lived. He said he was looking forward to the trip with great joy.
