Louvre and other Paris museums shut as protests return

The Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Orangerie, Picasso museum and Paris Opera venues closed on Saturday as a precaution ahead of fresh protests, leaving tourists locked out from the Mona Lisa. The closures came a week after nationwide demonstrations over the cost of living and public services turned violent. Art Basel Paris also cancelled its weekend programme.
