Controversial Islamic cleric Yahaya Masussuka shot dead in Nigeria's Katsina

Controversial Nigerian cleric Yahaya Masussuka, 47, was shot dead outside his home in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina state, on Monday evening by two assailants on a motorcycle as he bid visitors goodbye. One guest was also killed. The motive is unclear, but Masussuka had received death threats online over videos rejecting some mainstream Islamic beliefs, including about the afterlife.
