Democrats rally behind El-Sayed after Stevens backs Republican rival

A day before the US midterms, Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens endorsed Republican Mike Rogers for Michigan's Senate seat over her party's nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who beat her in the August primary. Democrats criticised the move. All 435 House seats, 35 Senate seats and 36 governorships are up for grabs on Tuesday.
