US Democrats demand ICE data on miscarriages among detainees

Democratic representatives Brittany Pettersen, Joyce Beatty and Robin Kelly have written to ICE acting director David Venturella seeking figures on miscarriages, stillbirths and pregnancy-related hospitalisations in custody. Government documents showed ICE recorded 18 miscarriages in the Trump administration's first nine months but has no data after October 3, 2025, while detaining record numbers of pregnant women.
