Karnataka BJP lacks clear game plan despite Council poll win

Despite a strong show in Karnataka's Legislative Council polls, the BJP is struggling to find direction in the state, party insiders say, citing leadership problems and infighting. They point to Chief Minister D K Shivakumar's outreach to mutts and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy's growing assertiveness. State president B Y Vijayendra's term ends on November 10, intensifying the race for the post.
