Aviation ministry reviews winter fog plans for airports and airlines

The civil aviation ministry held its first fog preparedness meeting of the season, chaired by secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, with DGCA, AAI, BCAS, CISF, IMD, airports and airlines. IMD said the fog season will run from December 15 to February 15, 2027. Stakeholders were told to ensure smooth operations, timely communication and proper passenger assistance during delays, cancellations and rescheduling.
