ECI suspends six officers over UP MLC poll lapses in Agra

The Election Commission suspended six supervisory officers and ordered action against five presiding officers and 16 police personnel over lapses in the Agra Teachers' Constituency MLC election. It also removed IAS officer Abhay as observer for Gorakhpur-Faizabad after a complaint by BJP MLC Devendra Pratap Singh, naming Prakash Bindu instead. Counting for 11 UP council seats is on Tuesday.
