Citroen weighs India as global production hub for 2CV electric car

Citroen is evaluating India as a production base for the showroom version of its 2CV concept, for local sales and exports. Unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the 3.76m electric hatchback is due in 2028 at around €15,000 in Europe. Stellantis has committed Rs 4,000 crore over three years in India, where its Thiruvallur plant already exports to eight markets.
