Peterborough approves 'bee bus stops' with wildflower roofs
Peterborough City Council has approved plans for up to 34 'bee bus stops' with Living Roofs, mini-gardens of wildflowers planted on shelters to boost urban biodiversity. The plan also replaces perch seats with comfortable seating. Bauer Media Outdoor UK will manage the stops under a contract of at least 10 years that could earn the council £2.8m over 20 years.
