CPI forms human chain in Delhi, seeks CEC's resignation over SIR

The CPI formed a human chain from its Ajoy Bhawan headquarters to ITO in New Delhi, demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation and a rollback of the nationwide special intensive revision of electoral rolls, which it says has disenfranchised citizens. General secretary D. Raja said Kumar had "lost the confidence of the people". The party also criticised the denotification of Jantar Mantar as a protest site.
