Experts push joint action on 'One Health' approach in Karnataka

Human health cannot be protected in isolation from animal and environmental health, Dr Soumya Swaminathan said at the One Health Conclave 2026 at IISc Bengaluru. Organised by the Karnataka Health Promotion Trust and HCL Foundation, she stressed the need for integrated surveillance, scientific collaboration and coordinated prevention to tackle emerging health threats.
