Indian women's Test cricket turns 50

October 31 marks 50 years since India's first women's Test, played against the West Indies at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in 1976. India have played only 42 more Tests since, but the women's game has been transformed by year-round limited-overs cricket. At this week's WPL mini auction, 15-year-old Uma Kashvi went to Delhi Capitals for ₹10 lakh and G. Kamalini to Gujarat Giants for ₹40 lakh.
