SFI alleges JNU broke reservation norms in PhD admissions

The Students' Federation of India has accused Jawaharlal Nehru University of not providing the prescribed share of PhD seats for SC, ST and disabled candidates in its 2026-27 admissions. Leaders including Brinda Karat said the National Commission for Scheduled Castes sent the registrar a notice on October 8, and the group demanded immediate correction of the seat allocation.
