Reporter builds a $50 DIY version of Meta's Muse Charm AI gadget

A Verge reporter built a homemade alternative to Meta's upcoming Muse Charm, a pocket AI companion, for just $50. He used a Waveshare ESP32-S3 pendant with a 1.75-inch touchscreen, which Meta officially suggests for building 'Muse Gadgets' using its open-source code. The device talks to Meta's Muse AI cloud, shows cute avatars and doubles as a pocket watch.
