Hyderabad launches green tankers to supply treated sewage water
Hyderabad's water board is launching a green tanker service on November 1 to supply water treated at sewage treatment plants for non-potable uses, amid El Nino-linked drinking water concerns. In the first phase, 21 tankers will carry water from 11 plants, prioritising government departments, parks and landscaping, then construction sites and industries. Tankers will carry 'not for drinking' warnings.
