Royal Legacy wins Mysore Derby as Akshay Kumar bags Grade 1 double

Royal Legacy, ridden by jockey Akshay Kumar, won the Zavaray S Poonawalla Mysore Derby at the Mysore Race Club on Saturday, completing a classic double for trainer Mckeown after the Mysore 1000 Guineas. Akshay also steered Rieko to an upset win in the Sprinters' Cup, while Dyf, ridden by Yash Narredu, took the Stayers' Cup.
