Asaram misses parole surrender deadline; Jodhpur police file FIR

Jodhpur police have registered an FIR after self-styled godman Asaram failed to return to Jodhpur Central Jail by the 5 pm deadline on Tuesday, when his parole expired. The Supreme Court had rejected his plea for a medical extension the same day. Police said he reached the jail only around midnight, after authorities had already filed a complaint.
