Kerala tells government doctors to follow wound certificate rules strictly
Kerala's Health department has directed all government doctors to strictly follow the Kerala Medico-Legal Code when preparing wound certificates. The circular came after the Director General of Prosecution complained that certificates prepared without due diligence, with omissions and poor documentation of injuries, were hampering criminal prosecutions. The issue was first flagged by medical officer K. Prathibha.
