Only half of rooftop solar users track daily output, finds CEEW study
A Council on Energy, Environment and Water study finds only half of rooftop solar adopters monitor daily system performance, and two-thirds clean panels at least once a month. Poor upkeep lets deposits form hotspots that can permanently damage cells and cut generation and bill savings. The authors note the free five-year maintenance mandated by policy is not clearly defined.
