General medicine beats radiology among NEET-PG toppers' picks

Among the first 100 entries in Round 1 of NEET-PG 2026 counselling, 51 candidates were allotted general medicine against 28 for radiodiagnosis, the Medical Counselling Committee list shows. Dermatology came a distant third with six, while paediatrics and general surgery had three each. Doctors say radiology offers early earnings and balance, while medicine opens super-speciality paths.
