GST collections jump 23% to ₹2.31 lakh crore in October

Gross GST collections rose 23% year-on-year to over ₹2.31 lakh crore in October, the second-highest monthly figure after April's record of about ₹2.43 lakh crore, as festive buying lifted demand. Domestic revenue grew 16% to ₹1.59 lakh crore, while import revenue climbed 42% to ₹72,246 crore. After refunds, net collections rose 26% to over ₹2.03 lakh crore.
