Iran's Speaker skips BRICS meet in Delhi amid row over medicine flights

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf will not attend the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in New Delhi on October 26-27, Iran's embassy said. This follows reports that India refused to let Iran Air fly medicines directly to Tehran over US sanctions concerns. India says supplies can go through a third country such as Armenia, while Iran argues humanitarian aid is exempt from sanctions.
