Influencer with 2.1 million followers gets just 33 votes in Rajasthan sarpanch poll

Omprakash Bishnoi, a self-styled astrologer and YouTuber with 2.1 million followers across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, won just 33 votes in a sarpanch election in Jodhpur district's Osian tehsil. The village has 1,600 eligible voters. A teacher among the three candidates got 527 votes, while the winner runs a car business. Bishnoi had campaigned heavily online.
