Gareth Batty quits Surrey to join Chennai Super Kings coaching staff

Surrey head coach Gareth Batty has stepped down to become an assistant coach at IPL side Chennai Super Kings, ending a 21-year association with the club. The former England spinner led Surrey to three straight County Championship titles from 2022 to 2024, the first team in nearly 60 years to do so, and played over 350 times for them.
