Rajnath Singh calls for 'Aatmanirbharta 2.0' in defence

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called for 'Aatmanirbharta 2.0' in the defence sector, focusing on advanced technologies, stronger research and development and resilient supply chains. Speaking at the Indian Navy's Swavlamban 2026 seminar in New Delhi, he said the next phase of self-reliance must build on the past decade's gains and target technologies once considered hard to develop at home.
