Janhvi Kapoor has addressed the backlash over her character in Peddi, saying she will forever carry shame over the film. Speaking on Koffee With Karan, she admitted the portrayal amounted to extreme objectification and accepted that it propagated a sexual assault narrative. She said she wished she had been more vigilant during filming.
