One Planet Partners launches ₹3,000-crore fund with Japan's SMTB

India-focused private equity firm One Planet Partners has launched its maiden fund, targeting over ₹3,000 crore, with strategic backing from Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. It will invest ₹100-500 crore in mid-market energy, mobility and manufacturing firms with revenue of ₹200-2,000 crore. Its first investment is in Bengaluru e-mobility firm Yulu's $93 million Series C round.
