Tamil Nadu revises auto fares: ₹50 minimum for 1.8 km

The Tamil Nadu government has notified new autorickshaw fares for Chennai and other regions. The minimum fare is ₹50 for up to 1.8 km, with ₹25 for each additional kilometre and a waiting charge of ₹1 per minute. Rides between 10 pm and 5 am will cost 1.5 times the regular fare, with separate rates for ghat roads.
