ICMR funds four-year study on genetic links in autoimmune diseases

The ICMR has funded a four-year study, led by AIIMS Delhi's Ranjan Gupta and Ashoka University's Dipyaman Ganguly, into the genetic and immune roots of autoimmune diseases. It aims to enrol 200 families with multiple affected members, each including at least one lupus patient. Researchers hope to find shared disease mechanisms and new therapy targets, and urged lupus patients to enrol.
