16-year-old qualifier Swara Karmarkar storms into WTT Feeder Chennai semis

Swara Karmarkar, a 16-year-old table tennis player from Nashik ranked 947 in the world, reached her maiden women's singles semifinal at WTT Feeder Chennai as a qualifier. Coached by Jay Modak, she beat Suhana Saini in five games in the quarterfinals, using her hook serve and attacking forehand. She will next face second seed Yoo Yerin of South Korea.
