IIT Kharagpur to set up India's first school of Physical AI

IIT Kharagpur will establish the Benjamin Gupta School of Physical AI with a Rs 35 crore investment, including Rs 12.5 crore from alumnus Vinod Gupta's family and Rs 10 crore from an anonymous alumnus. It will focus on AI that interacts with the physical world, such as robotics, digital twins and autonomous systems. Programmes may start next academic session.
