Delhi logs its lowest October maximum temperature since 1951

Delhi's Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum of just 20.7°C on October 30, the lowest October day-time temperature since 1951. The previous record was 21.5°C on October 25, 1975. Forecasters linked the chill to a western disturbance interacting with Cyclone Arnab. The city also saw its cleanest October in years, with an average AQI of 167, the lowest since 2015.
