Akai's upcoming MPC Sample Key adds 25 keys, chord and arpeggiator modes

Akai has teased the MPC Sample Key and plans to open-source its software so modders can customise it. Images show a 25-key keyboard, pitch and mod wheels, octave buttons and controls labelled 'chord' and 'arp', suggesting it targets melodic sample playback rather than drum chopping. The 'chop' button from the MPC Sample is missing. Launch date and price remain unknown.
