Tiger revival in Bengal's Buxa reserve hits snag as tigress wanders to Assam

A three-year-old tigress released into North Bengal's Buxa Tiger Reserve on October 2 has crossed into Assam. Buxa had no tigers for over a decade after a decline from around 2009-10. Forest Minister Manoj Oraon said she is healthy, has killed a wild boar and is monitored hourly, adding there are no plans to tranquillise her as the area is a tiger corridor.
