About 500 GP surgeries in England lose online booking after tech firm collapses

Silicon Practice, which ran websites, online booking and consultations for around 500 GP practices in England, nearly 10% of the total, has collapsed. Surgeries in London, Gloucestershire, Norfolk and parts of Wales report disruption. Patients are being asked to book by phone, though the NHS app still works. More than 40% of appointments in England are now booked online.
