Arunachal MLA calls for talks as Siang dam protests turn violent

Former Union minister and Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering has urged dialogue over the proposed Siang dam project in Arunachal Pradesh after a house was vandalised during protests. He warned against violence, said some protesters came from outside the area, invited the Siang Indigenous Farmers Forum to talks, and urged the Centre to discuss a water treaty with China.
