Bristol postmaster returns to run Antarctica's Port Lockroy post office
George Clarke from Bristol is returning for his third stint as postmaster at Port Lockroy, the world's most southerly post office, in Antarctica. From October to March he lives on a very small island with five other people and about 1,000 gentoo penguins. The site is run by the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust, and Clarke calls the penguins noisy and the people fantastic.
