UNESCO adds Andaman volcanoes and Chhattisgarh's Sirpur to tentative list
UNESCO has added three Indian properties to its World Heritage Tentative List: the Karst-mud-volcano Complex of Baratang and the Andaman Subduction Volcanoes, both in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and the Sirpur Cultural and Archaeological Landscape in Chhattisgarh. Inclusion is a preliminary step towards World Heritage status and does not mean the sites have been inscribed yet.
